Setting Intentions
Hello friends!
January 1, 2025 seems like a long time ago! How are you doing on your New Year’s goals? If some of your resolutions have fallen by the wayside, it might be a great time for a makeover! This March, I’m working on setting intentions. Working on intentions can guide your focus on what's important to you and help make meaningful change. Here are some strategies to try:
Reflect on your priorities: What matters most to you? Is it family, health, or your career? Why is making a change important to you? How will this change affect your priorities?
Be open to change: Let go of attachment to specific outcomes. Instead, focus on how making this change could impact your life?
Be clear and actionable: Create intentions that are specific but flexible. Instead of "I'll never eat a donut," try "I'll make mindful food choices".
Write your intentions down: There is power in the pen! Keep your intentions visible so you can refer to them when you need support.
Practice mindfulness: Stay present and aware of your choices. What are some barriers to you making this change? What is holding you back? If you make this change, how exactly would you go about it?
Create a support network: Surround yourself with people who can encourage you.
Remember, it isn’t about if you fall down. It is about learning and growing and deciding to get back up! You got this! Here is a well•ish experiment to try. Reflect on these questions and write down your answers.
What are your priorities? What matters most to you?
What are you hoping to change?
Why is making this change important to you?
How will making this change impact my priorities?
What are some barriers to making this change?
What has worked in the past when navigating barriers?
What are strategies you could use to navigate barriers?
Who is your support system?
This week, I am going back to the basics and leaning in with setting intentions. Will you join me? Stay well•ish everyone!
Xoxo,
Dani
